Chicken Pasta Ala King

So this is an excellent recipe that is derived from the blog They have great recipes. Some are healthy, some are not but either way I highly recommend the site. This dish is really good for you and is packed with so many nutrients. It's good for the whole family - kids, parents, grandparents! I promise you it will leave every single person is your family asking for seconds and thirds!

Chicken Pasta Ala King
2 cups of frozen peas
1 cup shredded carrots
1 15 oz. can of mushrooms
1 onion chopped
28 oz. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. margarine
8 oz (2 large pieces) of baked white chicken breast - shredded
1/2 c. nondairy creamer mixed with 1/2 cup of water
1 box of pasta

1. melt the butter - add the onions and cook them for 5 minutes until translucent
2. add in the peas, carrots and mushrooms and cook them in the butter for 5 minutes
3. add in the broth and flower and cook the vegetables for additional 5 minutes
4. add in the chicken and creamer and water and spices and bake in the oven covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes
5. about 15 minutes in - boil water, add in the pasta and cook for 10 minutes. drain well
6. pour the pasta into each bowl and serve the chicken and veggie mixture on top of the pasta

Serves 8 - Yummy!
